The similarities between Machu Picchu and Chichen Itza is, both civilization historical, both civilization also live about one thousand years. Other than that, both civilization are made with stone. Its also a good builder by building large monuments and buildings. Even tough both civilization believe into an ancient gods they still praised them and worship to strengthen their kingdom.
The differences is, Machu Picchu more into legendary myth than Chichen Itza that there are into advancing their civilization. The other reasons, the geographical location. Machu Picchu build their kingdom in high hills and an impossible terrain, Chichen Itza build their kingdom onto flat land and large fields. Other than that, Machu Picchu carved their stone wall with magnificent arts to tell stories among their people and Chichen Itza build sculpture among their stone to remembrance their gods.
